Abstract :
Based on the basic electricity tariff set by PLN charging for the reactive power consumption of kVARh / kVARh if the customer is using excess kVARh and causing power factor cos ? less than 0.85, but kVARh usage from customer depends on the use of electric motor motor so that for industry with usage A large motor load can not avoid paying for its kVARh, the larger the kVARh is absorbed by the subscriber then it causes cos ? or less power factor, one to overcome it by mounting the capacitor, since the installed power of the kVARh capacitor is reduced, so it can repair the cos ?, one to solve the problem is to install the capacitive reactive power source near the load to compensate the inductive kVARh power so that cos ? can be switched, the reactive power source used is usually the capacitor, therefore it is necessary to study the installation of capacitors to industrial customers to know which is more advantageous between the installation of capacitors or kVARh payments.
