Abstract :
PT Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali (PT PJB) Muara Karang is a producer of electricity that sells electricity to PT PLN Persero. The electricity are distributed from GTG
which stepped up from 11 kV to 150 kV by transformator step up. However, there is a loss on transmission between GTG 1.1 and GI Muara Karang. There was a difference in reading kWh meter of PT PLN and calculation of production of PT PJB Muara Karang. The hypothesis is the loss on transformer cause the difference in reading kWh meter. But, after do the calculation of the loss on transformer, it does not prove the hypothesis. Then, the analysis is done by calculating lossis network transmission between GTG 1.1 to GI Muara Karang
and Why Why Diagram method. Based on the result of research, the cause of the problem is the kWh meter of PT PLN. The CVT component on the kWh meter is damaged, so it can not read the voltage correctly. The temporary
solution that can be offered while waiting for PT PLN to replace the kWH meter is by taking the voltage from CVT GTG 1.2 or GTG 1.3 which has a more stable voltage reading.
