Abstract :
PT Pembangkit Jawa Bali (PJB) is one of the subsidiary of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) which is engaged in power plant. PT PJB Muara Karang Power Plant Unit (UP MKR) is divided into 3 power plant blocks consisting of 2 units of Steam Power Plant (PLTU) and 5 Steam Gas Power Plant (PLTGU). For the safety, at some point, the electricity system of generating unit should not be disconnected from the flow of electricity, even under Black Out conditions. This aims to avoid heavy damage to turbines and generators due to loss of lubrication. In order for all lubrication systems in bearings keep working, they need a reliable emergency power supply system that capable of supporting the needs of all emergency loads. So, it is necessary to have an Uninterruptible Power Supply system for unbreakable loads power supplies. In this study, the author needs to do a research on the reliability of uniterruptible power supply system in order to find out how uniterruptible power supply system PLTU works at PT PJB Muara Karang Power Plant Unit (UP MKR).
