Abstract :
A good electric power system should have a voltage value that does not exceed the tolerance limit and small power losses. The tolerable limit for a voltage value based on SPLN 1 of 1995 is + 5% to -10% of its nominal voltage. But the reality in the field are still found many who experience a falling voltage exceeds the tolerance limit, one of which is feeder PML 03 in PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Comal. The PML 03 feeder has a total network of 117.66 kms with a 20.2 kV send voltage and an end voltage of 17.92 kV, which means a voltage drop of 12.72% has occurred. The voltage drop is due to a very long PML 03 feeder and the load location is at the end of the feeder. To overcome these problems, PT. PLN (Persero) will build a GI Comal that is closer to the loads of PML 03 feeder, so it will be able to reduce the value of voltage drop and power losses on the network. From the results of the calculations, after the repeater PML 03 in supply from GI Comal, the end-tension value increased from 17.97 kV to 19.34 kV and loss of power losses from 985.25 kW to 266.37 kW.
