Abstract :
The construction of 500 kV substation in Duri Kosambi using gas insulation technology consists of two Interbus Transformers (IBT) with 500 MVA capacity for each IBT is one way to overcome the high load in Jakarta, therefore the short-circuit current reanalysis is required to ensure proper breaker ratings. The short-circuit analysis will help to ensure that personnel and equipment are protected by establishing proper interrupting ratings of circuit breaker. In this paper, the writer will discuss the short-circuit calculations of one phase to ground fault and three phase fault to determine the breaking capacity of Grogol and Muara Karang Lama bay in 150 kV substation of Duri Kosambi after the construction of 500 kV substation in Duri Kosambi. The result of Breaking Capacity calculation for Grogol and Muara Karang Lama bay in 150 kV substation of Duri Kosambi after the construction of 500 kV substation in Duri Kosambi are 7105 MVA and 8183 MVA.
