Abstract :
At present the level of reliability of a distribution system is very important to ensure continuity of power supply to consumers. Therefore, it is realized the importance of distribution system automation. This Final Project
was created with the aim of calculating the reliability index of 20 kV distribution system Bandengan Area. With SAIDI and SAIFI, where the failure index of each major equipment of the distribution system is taken into account in search of a
comprehensive system reliability index. Research has been conducted using this method to improve reliability to meet the target of PLN in the future ie international standard reaching IEE stdb 1366-2003 where for SAIFI value is
1,45 times / customer / year and SAIDI equal 2,3 hours / customer / year. Ultimately, the optimal solution will provide the best value index reliability of the distribution system.
