Abstract :
Conventional power plants in Indonesia are dominated by steam power plants (PLTU). PLTU itself has the ability to generate electricity with a stable without any disruption to weather, wind, etc. so that PLTU becomes a generator that is expected to meet the needs of electricity is supported with production costs are calculated cheaper than other power plants. In this paper will discuss about The operation of the power plant in the mining area of PT Antang Gunung Meratus before and after the connection of the power plant by conducting a power flow analysis, and short circuit analysis using ETAP 12.6.0 application and making the production simulation results before and after the steam power plant using Henwood Energy Services, Inc. (Prosyim). From the simulation result, the 2x5 MW steam power plant at PT Antang Gunung Meratus will result in more economical production cost and the excess power will be channeled to the Kandangan Substation.
