Abstract :
Along with the development of the times, the need for electrical energy is increasing, to reduce dependence on fossil fuel (fossil energy) then it needs additional Renewable energy generation, one of the Solar Power Generation. However, the problem of the plant is intermittent which can cause the frequency to be disturbed, to overcome this problem required analysis of Economic Dispatch formulation. Economic Dispatch is the process of determining the output power generated by generating units to supply a certain load by minimizing the total fuel cost. To compensate for the intermittent nature and maintain frequency stability with minimum fuel usage when large scale solar power plants are connected to the network, hydroelectric power is required. Operation of hydroelectric plants does not require fuel costs and has a large ramping rate, which is 50% per minute of its total capacity. Solar power plants and hydroelectric power plants should be in one control area such as the Generating Unit (UP) Cirata. Both plants are negative loads, so when connected networks will affect the formulation of Economic Dispatch, especially on its Equality Constraint, Such changes may decrease the use of thermal generating fuel costs.
