Abstract :
Energy is a basic need for humans. The current energy needs are mostly derived from fossil energy such as coal, oil and natural gas. But this supply of primary energy will continue to burn. One alternative to electrical energy that can be applied in this problem is utilizing solar cell technology. In PLTS there are 2 systems, namely On-Grid and Off-Grid Systems. In the PLTS off grid system, the electrical power obtained from the PV module is stored in the battery, then used by the load, whereas on the grid system that does not use batteries, the power of the PV module is directly absorbed by the load of the PLTS On Grid system which can only be used during the day only. Besides that there are also PLTS On Grid systems using batteries that can be used during the day or night. In this final project, the performance of PLTS on the On-Grid system is discussed using batteries, so that it can be used directly when the sun is present or can be stored first. at the STT-PLN PLTS Laboratory
