Abstract :
Politeknik Manufaktur Bandung, specially Foundry Engineering
Departement. Staff PPC FE needs a information system for concrete solid matter
production’s management. This concrete solid matter production information
system rebuilding refers to manual system. The manual system that's running
causes company’s solid matter low maintaining impacts, the bundled data
documentation causes stack of documents, complicated in maintaining, slow in
concrete solid matter production information requirement completion and report
outcome.
Concrete solid matter production information system rebuilding uses
descriptive research method, specially case study research on company, where
data collection technique that is used is observation, interview, and reference
study. Observation is close and direct watching about work process that is
running in company, for gaining clear description about target object. Interview
is direct dialogue with company’s intern side in giving official statement and
explanation about information that is needed. Reference study is looking for
references that support research. Data analysis technique uses waterfall method,
while data flow method that is used is structured method which is built by Data
Flow Diagram (DFD) on describing functional model and Entity Relationship
Diagram (ERD) on describing data model.
The purpose which wants to be reached from concrete solid matter
production information system is helping receive bigger data storage, purposes
data which is not be needed thow, the next which make into standard on
production increase effort which more and more, but also can user facilitate on
data management, those purposes will increase services on order and shipping to
warehouse.
