Abstrak
Diabetes Mellitus merupakan suatu penyakit menahun yang ditandai oleh kadar glukosa darah yang
melebihi nilai normal dan gangguan metabolik karbohidrat, lemak, protein, dan pola makan. Faktor
risiko yang berhubungan dengan proses terjadinya diabetes mellitus antara lain : usia, obesitas, dan
riwayat keluarga. Pengobatan diabetes secara farmakologi seperti : metformin, glibenklamid,
glimepirid, glikazid, dan sulfonylurea. Maupun pengobatan diabetes secara non farmakologi yaitu
dengan menjalankan pola hidup sehat seperti : edukasi, terapi nutrisi medis, latihan fisik. Glukosa
darah puasa adalah tes glukosa darah yang mengharuskan untuk berpuasa 8 jam sebelum melakukan
tes. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar glukosa darah puasa pasien diabetes
mellitus yang menjalankan pola makan diabetes di Klinik Bakti Tunas Husada. Metode dengan
deskriptif dan pengisian kuisioner pada responden, serta data sekunder berupa rekam medis dengan
melihat kriteria inklusi. Populasi penelitian diabetes mellitus di Klinik BTH sebanyak 30 responden,
Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai distribusi frekuensi yang mematuhi pola makan sebanyak 100% (30
orang), glukosa darah puasa normal sebanyak 40% (12 orang) dan tidak normal 60% (18 orang)

Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by blood glucose levels that exceed normal values
and metabolic disorders of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, and diet. Risk factors associated with the
occurrence of diabetes mellitus include: age, obesity, and family history. Pharmacological diabetes
treatment such as: metformin, glibenclamide, glimepirid, glikazid, and sulfonylurea. As well as the
non-pharmacological treatment of diabetes, namely by carrying out a healthy lifestyle such as:
education, medical nutrition therapy, physical exercise. Fasting blood glucose is a blood glucose test
that requires you to fast 8 hours before performing the test. The purpose of this study was to describe
the fasting blood glucose levels of diabetes mellitus patients who have a diabetes diet in the Bakti
Tunas Husada Clinic. Descriptive methods and filling out questionnaires to respondents, as well as
secondary data in the form of medical records by looking at the inclusion criteria. The study
population of diabetes mellitus at the BTH Clinic was 30 respondents.The results showed that the
frequency distribution value that adhered to the diet was 100% (30 people), normal fasting blood
glucose was 40% (12 people) and not normal 60% (18 people).
