Abstract :
AGATA RIA BANNE PASANG (2020154263) "Theological Analysis of the Implementation of Deacon Tasks in the Toraja Church of Sangpolo Bungin Church, Klongan Nonongan salu" By the guidance of the supervisor: I: Pdt Yelinda Sri Silvia, M.Th, supervisor II: Sanda Mongan, S.Th, M.Pd.K. Keywords: Deacon, Task, Implementation.This title was raised to remember and pay attention to problems that occur in the life of the church, especially for deacons. Where in the congregation many church assemblies (deacons) do not pay attention or implement their duties in the congregation. But in the church deacons should be role models in the congregation of what is done in the ministry of diaconia such as paying special attention to those in need, visiting sick people, needy people, organizing with compassionate deaconess Services to create prosperity for members of the church, as well as by the life of a deacon in carrying out his duties especially becomes a role model for all members of his congregation. Deacons in the chosen church are not just a choice of the church but it is God's determination to fulfill the work of God that has not been well overcome (Acts 6: 1-6). They are chosen not based on ability or skill alone. With this task the deacon is tasked with equipping the church with certain Services. However, the way deacons perform their duties is not in accordance with what the congregation hopes. This research is intended to find out and describe how a deacon implements his duty as a deacon in the congregation. The research method used in completing this paper is a qualitative research method, which uses literature study and field research (interviews) to obtain data about deacons in relation to deacons who do not understand their duties and carry out their duties properly. So that the purpose of writing this thesis is for the church, congregation and ministers especially deacons to have the correct paradigm in accordance with God's word regarding the deacer?s ministry and duties. Based on the results of the study, it proves that the training for deacons in the Sangpolo Bungin Church is not optimal. Therefore, seeing that happened so that coaching is very important for all church assemblies so that they can know how they should implement and carry out their duties properly as a deacon in the congregation. And every servant of God in the church who is given the authority and responsibility to carry out the ministry of God is always done with pleasure and not forced, not because of wages but because of love to serve joyfully.
