Abstract :
This study aims to analyse the student learning difficulties in fungi material and factors that cause student learning difficulties. The research is a descriptive quantitative. The object of this study were 72 students of class X IPA SMAN 2 Lubuk Pakam. Multiple choice questions and questionnaires were used as instruments to obtain data and were analyzed using percentage techniques. The results showed that: (1) Learning difficulty to study fungi is found in the questions of C5 (47.92%) and belongs to very high category. The questions also belong to learning indicator grouping fungi based on their characteristics and describing reproduction in fungi (47.22%) and belongs to very high category; (2) The material of fungi is found to have highest learning difficulties (93.06%) and belongs to very high category.
