Abstract :
Abstract
:
This study used a quasi experiment approach with a Non-Equivalent
Control Group design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with 20
respondents, in wich 10 people were include
d in the experiment group and the other 10
were included in control group. The data an
alysis used was fisher exact probability
statistic test.
Result of the study
: In the experiment group, 60% respondent did not suffer
insomnia anymore after the progressive rela
xation, while in the control group, 100%
respondent still suffered from insomnia. The fisher exact probability test result showed
that p value = 8, 143 with standard error 0,011 (
α
< 5%). It can be concluded from the
data that H
α
was accepted and Ho was rejected, which means that there is an effect of
progressive relaxation treatment on insomnia occurrence in elderly people in Abiyoso
Tresna Werdha Social House in Yogyakarta Province in 2010.
