Background Cervical cancer is one type of cancer that is dangerous for women
with symptoms that are sometimes overlooked, therefore early recognition of
cervical cancer to adolescents is needed. SMA 2 Wates has PIK-KRR, although
not functioning optimally. Counseling became one of the methods that can be
used to improve the knowledge of adolescents about reproductive health
problems, especially cancer of the cervix.
The purpose of this study aims to investigate the influence of education on the
level of knowledge about cervical cancer in female students of SMA 2 Wates.

Pretest-Posttest). Independent variable in this study is the extension of cervical
cancer, while the dependent variable is the level of student knowledge about
cervical cancer. Population is 59 female students with sample of 33 respondents.
Data were analyzed using paired statistical test sample T-test.
Results After counseling given, level of knowledge has increased 57.6% for good
category when compared with the current level of knowledge pre-test. Based on
the analysis results may be that t value < t table and sig value < 0.05.
