Abstract :
The title of this research is Accountability of criminal theft for people with Cleptomania. The issues discussed in this thesis are. How a criminal theft accountability works and whether is there an obstacle in dropping criminal sanctions against the theft and offender who suffer from Cleptomania or not?. The purpose of this research, writer believes that this research can be a great source for people who experience the issues particularly people living with Cleptomania. The result of the research suggest offenders remain responsible for legal aspects and the imposition of criminal sanctions. However, one possible factor that hinder the case could be the Cleptomania related to psychiatric condition where someone different from normal people. As a result, it is important to examine and prove whether the offenders were committing crime because of mental illness or not.
