Abstract :
Central bank has important role in the economy system of a country. Indonesia has Bank Indonesia that serves as the central bank. In performing the duties as the central bank, Bank Indonesia has much autonomy. No party allowed intervening against Bank Indonesia in performing its duties. This thesis entitled ?Duty of Supervision Agencies to help DPR in Supervising The Bank Indonesia According to Law No. 3 of 2004 concerning Bank Indonesia.? This thesis aims to determine duty of Supervision Agencies in Supervising Bank Indonesia and to know accountability mechanisms of Bank Indonesia. This thesis uses the method of normative for analyzing and to get the result. On law no.3 of 2004 there are provisions regulating the functions and duties of the Supervision Agency. In addition the Bank Indonesia is also expected to have more clear mechanisms control. However, the provisions contained in law no 3 of 2004 were provided limitation to Bank Indonesia in doing its supervision function. Supervision conducted by the Supervision Agency limited to operations field. The limitations provided by these laws made the Supervision Agency cannot do supervisory functions optimally. The establishment of the Supervision Agency was also expected to make the Bank Indonesia has clear accountability mechanisms but in fact Supervision Agency not affect on accountability mechanisms of Bank Indonesia.
