Abstract :
ABSTRACT
This study was attempted to know the use of animation movies for
developing students’s writing skillunder the considerations of MA Nurrussalam
Tetebatu that many students found difficulties in understanding English of
narrative text. The subject of the research was 30 students of A class eleventh
graders of MA Nurussalam in the school year 2017-2018.To gain the data, preexperimental research was used by given the students pre-test, treatment, and
post-test. The pre-test instrument was given first to the students. The treatment
used was animation movies, the title is RIO 2 that given in three meetings. The
post-test was conducted after the treatment given to the students using the same
instrument as the pre-test. The collected data was submitted to a paired sample ttest by using SPSS 17. The result showed that the mean score of pre-test was34.86
that’s higher between the post-test that was 48.00, there was a significant
difference in the mean score between pre-test and post-test,t(df=31)=5.184 at
p=.001 meaning that the null hypothesis was rejected and alternative hypothesis
was accepted. In conclusion, used animation movie were significantly effective to
improve students’ writing skill of narrative text in English subject.
