ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to find out wehether or not there is any
correlation between students speaking ability and students grammar of Madrasah
Aliyah Darul Kamilin Bakan in the school year 2019/2020. The research design of
this study was quantitative research. The population of the study were 27 students.
The instrument of the resarch was speaking and grammar test, the researher gave
picture-cued and multiple choice tset was consist of 25 items. From the previous
analysis, it shows that with the amount of the sample (N=27) and the level
significance was 5%, the result of the computation of pearson product moment
was 0,562 based on the value of r-table was 0,381. So, the alternative (Ha) was
accepted and thenull hypothesis (HO) was rejected . It means that there is a
positive and significant correlation between students speaking ability and students
grammar at the second class of Madrasah Aliyah Darul Kamilin Bakan in the
School Year 2019-2020, the significance was average category because tha value
of the correlation is 0,562 or high degree of correlation and the computation
showed the rcounted was higher that rtable that was 0,562 > 0,381.
