Abstract :
ABSTRACT
The aim of this research was to analyze the speaking fluency of English
for foreign language (EFL) student. This research used descriptive qualitative
research design. The participants of this study consisted of 6 members of ESC
from English department and non English department organized by students unite
top leader of English speaking club (ESC). To find the result of this research, to
instrument were applied; observation, and semi-structured interview. There were
6 members who participated in this study from English department, non English
department, and including with the organizer of the student unite ( UKM ), from
the data analysis, it was found that the member of English speaking club had
improvement student speaking fluency and coherency in speaking skill. The
research finding perform that requiring goal of the program contributing speaking
fluency of the members in speaking ability is , such as English camping, ESC
day, English country side, ESC anniversary ect. In addition referring to the test
interview base on the IELT band description most of the student got average 5 and
6 band. Based on research finding, it is important that for the student unite (
UKM ) of ESC have to keep continues the program whether to support student
speaking fluency and coherency in speaking skill, than better collaboration with
the university to run the program, so that the members of ESC are motivated to
join the program and fluent their speaking.
