Abstract :
This research was to find out the effectiveness of origami Technique in
teaching writing procedure text at Hamzanwadi University. This pre-experimental
research was conducted at Hamzanwadi University. The subject of this research
was the students of the third semester in A class at Hamzanwadi University that
consisted of 15 people. The design of this study was pre-experimental design.
Dealing with the data, pre-test and post-tests were given to the students. In this
study the present researcher applied SPSS 16 for windows. After submitting the
data to paired sample t-test, the present researcher found that there was a
significant in the mean scores between the pre-test and post-test, which was t= -
9.330 at p˃0,05, . It means that the alternative hypothesis was accepted and the
null hypothesis was accepted. In short, using Origami in teaching writing was
significantly effective of students when teaching and learning process.
Considering the result of the data, the present researcher suggests that English
lecturers‟ use Origami in teaching Procedure text.
