Abstract :
In this study the present researcher was focus on finding and analyzing the
diffficulties on Reading Comprehension Subject. Students difficulties in finding
main idea of the English text book caused the student do not focus to study when
the lecturer explain the subject, lack of vocabulary and the media in teaching
process and the motivation to study on Reading Comprehension still low from
students itself.The present researcher use descriptive qualitative method. The data
was collected by using questionnaire, interview, and observation among15
students of English Language Education Department. The present researcher
found there were difficulties faced by the students those were the lack of
vocabulary of the students, lack of grammar, lack of finding main idea of the text,
and the teaching technique of the lecturer. Based on the analysis, it could be
concluded that there were difficulties faced by the students on finding Reading
Comprehension subject. The difficulties faced by the students were the lack of
vocabulary, the unsustainable tools and the teaching technique. The factors of the
difficulties on Reading Comprehension were caused by the students, the lecturer,
and the tools.
