Abstract :
DENOTATIVE AND CONOTATIVE MEANING IN TGKH WORKS. MUHAMMAD ZAINUDDIN ABDUL MADJID: SEMANTIC STUDY SAININGSIH This research is entitled Denotative and Connotative Meanings on TGKH Works Songs. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Majid. This research is motivated by researchers' interest in literary works that contain a lot of moral messages contained in each song stanza. The purpose of this study is to find out the meaning or message contained in Maulana Shaykh's songs both denotatively and connotatively. Research on denotative and connotative meanings on TGKH songs. M. Zainuddin Abdul Majid uses a qualitative descriptive method, because the data and research results are in the form of words. Data collection techniques used in this study are library and documentation techniques that collect data by searching for writings related to the object of research besides that there is an interview technique to strengthen the analysis argument. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is the content analysis technique in the form of song lyrics. Based on the research that has been done, researchers found 9 data including denotative meanings and 16 connotative meanings. Keywords: Meaning, Denotative, connotative, Songs
