Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to determine The Effect Of The
Discovery Learning Model On Student Science Process Skills Of Class X IPA
SMA Negeri 1 Sukamulia Academic Year 2017/2018. This type of research
experimental research using quasi experimental design in the form of posttestonly control design. The population in this study were all class X students of
SMA Negeri 1 Sukamulia in the 2017/2018 academic year, which consists of 6
classes with 162 students. The sample of this study was determined by simple
random sampling technique. Class X IPA 1 as an experimental class and Class X
IPA 3 as a control class. The instrument in this study is a test of students' science
process skills in the form of an essay totaling 7 items. Based on the results of data
analysis obtained the average value of the post-test experimental class is 79.24
and the control class is 67.66. Whereas, hypothesis testing uses statistical analysis
with the t-test formula at a significant level of 5% that is obtained by tcount of
4.445. After being compared with ttable of 2.013, it shows that tcount > ttable, that is
(4.445 > 2.013), then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus it can be concluded
that "There is The Effect Of The Discovery Learning Model On Student Science
Process Skills Of Class X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Sukamulia Academic Year
2017/2018".
