his study aims to determine whether there is an effect of school environmental
utilization as a medium of learning biology on science process skills of students of
class X MA Darul Hijrah NW Orong Balu Wanasaba Daya Learning Year
2018/2019.
This type of research is experimental research using Quasi Experimental
Design. The population in this study students of class X IPA semester I consisting of
2 classes with a total of 51 students. The samples in this study were class X IPA A as
an experimental class and class X IPA B as contro class. Data collection techniques
used a test, where the test here in the form of essays in the form of 7 questions. Data
analysis techniques to see the results of student science process skills using normality
test, homogeneity test, and t-test (t test).
The results obtained were the average posttest values in the experimental
class, namely 73.46 and control class 65.65. While the average value for each
indicator of science process skills in the experimental class and control class is the
indicator observing (24.81; 22.67), classifying (13.19; 10.29), asking questions
(experiment 19.05 ; 18.64), making a hypothesis (9.89; 8.19) and finally
communicating data (7.33; 5.90). While the results of normality tests both
experimental and control classes were normally distributed, for the experimental class
X2 count (9.52) t-table (1.401) . Thus it can be concluded that there is an
effect of school environmental utilization as a medium of learning biology on science
process skills of grade X students of MA Darul Hijrah NW Orong Balu Wanasaba
Daya in 2018/2019.
