Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning Realistic
Mathematic Education (RME) and Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the
mathematics learning outcomes of class XI students of SMK 3 Selong in the
subject matter of the 2018/2019 learning year matrix. This type of research uses
quasi experimental design. The population of this study were all students of class
XI of SMK Negeri 3 Selong in the 2018/2019 academic year. The research sample
is determined by Simple Random sampling technique. Class XI TKJ 1 as the
RME experimental class, while class XI TKJ 2 as the PBL experimental class.
The research design used was post-test Only Control Design. Data collection
techniques use learning outcomes tests. Data were analyzed using two-party t-test
with the polled variant method. The results of the hypothesis show that t count> t
table or (4.115> 1.697), which means that H_o is rejected and H_a is accepted, so
it can be concluded that the Learning of Realistic Mathematic Education (RME)
and Problem Based Learning (PBL) is effective against students'mathematics
learning outcomes.
Keywords: Realistic Mathematic Education (RME), Problem Based Learning
