This study aims to determine the presence or absence of the influence of
social media addicts on mathematics learning achievement and motivation of
students of the NW Pancor Laboratory Junior High School. This study used a
quantitative method with a correlational study. The sample taken from this study
was 20 students, i.e. grade IX students. Data collection techniques used addicted
social media questionnaires and learning motivation, while for mathematics
achievement is taken from the results of students' Mathematics Final Examination.
Data were analyzed using a simple linear regression correlation test. The results
of the hypothesis of the influence of social media addicts on mathematics learning
achievement showed a significant value (Sig) of 0.004 <0.05, so it can be
concluded that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means that "there
was an influence of social media addict on student achievement" and social
influence media addict to student learning motivation shows a significant value
(Sig) of 0.159> 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ho is accepted and Ha is
rejected, which means that "there is no influence of social media on student
motivation".
