Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of the project based learning
model in STAD type cooperative settings on the ability to think critically and
confidently grade VIII students at MTs NW Sukarara 2019/2020 school year.
This type of research is an quasi experiment. By design the design is design
posttest form only control design. The population in this study were all students
of class VIII and the sample in this study was class VIII B as an experimental
class and class A as a control class determined using random sampling. Data
collection techniques using critical thinking tests and self-confidence
questionnaire. Data were analyzed using t-test. The results of the hypothesis of
critical thinking and confidence show that t > table is (2.01> 1.688) for critical
thinking and (3.86> 1.688) for confidence which means H0 is rejected and Ha
is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the project
model based learning in STAD type cooperative settings for critical thinking
and there is an influence of the project based learning model in STAD type
cooperative settings for confident students of MTs NW Sukarara in the
2019/2020 school year.
