Abstract :
This research is entitled “The Correlation between Learning Style and
Students‟ Reading Comprehension. The purpose of conducting this research was
to examine whether there is a positive correlation between learning style and
student‟s reading comprehension on the 8th Grade of MTs NW Perigi in academic
year 2020/2021. The population of the study was the 8th Grade of MTs NW Perigi
in academic year 2020/2021. The total sample of this research followed 20
students. This research used correlation study and this study used Pearson
correlation by Karl Pearson.There were 48 students from two classes as the
population of this resarch. The sample was taken from B class which consists of
20 students. In this case the research collected the data by using learning style
questionnaire and reading comprehension test. The result showed that the level of
correlation was -.635. It can be concluded that the Null Hypothesis (Ho) “there is
no positive correlation between learning style and students‟ reading
comprehension on the eight grade students of MTs. NW Perigi in the academic
year 2020/2021 was accepted.
