Abstract :
This study aimed at interpreting, analyzing and getting the essence of the story content related to educational and cultural values in the novel About You Published on 2016 by Republika Gramedia, Jakarta. The title of this research is "Analysis of Educational and Cultural Values in Tere Liye's Novel “About Youâ€. To analyze the data, researchers used descriptive qualitative methods. The research data were collected from the Indonesian novel entitled About You. The purpose of this study was to determine the educational and cultural value in Tere Liye's novel About You. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation techniques or literature study. Researchers took this research because of the importance of education and cultural values in our lives. Researchers are interested, because they analyze things related to good values so that researchers can study and apply them. The results of this study, there are 2 educational values in the novel About You Tere Liye. In addition, there are 4 cultural values that are important to learn and apply in life. Besides that, researcher also found out 11 other values in novel About You by Tere Liye. The conclusion, all values have benefits, functions to be obeyed in people's lives, and how humans apply it in everyday life. Key Words: analysis novel, educational, and cultural values
