The problem statement of this research is the still of adhere to use the ekspositori strategy,
especially to the metode of speech, question mark, and give the homework of the learning
process and the less function teaching media of Islamic Education so the research can be
distinguish effect of the achievement student of using the inkuiri strategy with the students using
the inquiry free strategy of Islamic Education.
This research used experimental research. The design of the research is quasi experiment used
for collecting data that is used post-test and pre-test. The data were taken from two groups:
experiment class and control class. The population is VIII students of SMP N Kebakkramat
Karanganyar. There are 157 students. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling.
There are VIII C, and VIII E using the Inquiry strategy. And the two others of VIII A and VIII D
is used the Inquiry free strategy. In collecting the data, the researcher used an objective test,
analysis data, and t-test.
In the group of inquiry strategy can be analysis of the achievement 24,82 with the percentage
82,75 %. That is different of the group Inquiry free strategy, that can be analysis of the
achievement 23,27 with the percentage 77,57%. There is different and significant, achievement
group of Inquiry strategy with the group of Inquiry free strategy. It is proven by the result of t-
test. The t-test shows that t obtained 3, 829 is significance 0,00 < sig. 0.05 dk = 114. It means with
the t-test of Islamic Education that the group of Inquiry strategy is 24,82 is more high than the
group of inquiry free strategy is 23,27. it can be concluded that the students taught using Inquiry
strategy have higher achievement than the students taught Inquiry free strategy.
