Abstract :
The aim of this study was to find out English vowel pronounciation problems faced by French teenagers aged 14 to 20 lived in Geneva, and to find out the internal and external factors of pronounciation problems faced by French teenagers aged 14 to 20 lived in Geneva. This was a descriptive qualitative study in which the data were taken from interview, test and documentation. The techniques of data analysis were data reduction and data display. Based on the result of the study, the study found out that French teenagers still had some difficulty in English vowel pronounciation because English vowel and French vowel were different but also most French teenagers had some lack of confidance in speaking English. French teenagers experience English vowel pronunciation difficulties with most of vowel mistake are 6 vowels such as /?/, /?/, /?/, /?/, /?:/, and /u/.
