Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of a hedonic lifestyle, financial knowledge,
parental income and financial literacy on the financial behavior of the z generation.
The population in this study were students at Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University,
Surabaya, 2019-2022 entry year. The sampling technique used purposive sampling
and the final data obtained 95 samples. Data analysis was carried out using the
SEM PLS 8.0 test tool by testing descriptive analysis, testing the validity and
reliability of research instruments, inner models and testing hypotheses. The results
of this study state that a hedonic lifestyle has a negative and significant influence,
financial knowledge has a negative and insignificant effect, parental income has a
positive and significant influence, and financial literacy has a positive and
significant effect.
