Abstract :
This study aims to examine the effect of work motivation on employee performance
through job satisfaction in service companies in East Java. The sample consists of
79 respondents to employees who work in service companies in East Java, aged 18-
55 years and have at least one year of service. The sampling technique uses
Judgment sampling. Analysis using Structural Equating Modeling (SEM) on Partial
Least Square (PLS) and data collection using a questionnaire in the form of google
form. The results of this study indicate that Work Motivation has a positive and not
significant effect on Employee Performance, Work Motivation has a positive and
significant effect on Job Satisfaction, Job Satisfaction has a positive and significant
effect on Employee Performance, Work Motivation has a positive and significant
effect on Employee Performance by mediating Job Satisfaction positive and
significant to Employee Performance.
