Abstract :
Financial management behavior is an important things that needs to be considered that a person can achieve the financial goals that have been planned.
This is related to the consumptive behavior in Indonesia and, especially in
Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Malang, Madiun, and Tuban. The purpose of this research was
to determine The Effect of Financial Knowledge, Lifestyle, and Self Efficacy on
Financial Management Behavior of Career Woman with Self Control as a
Mediation Variable. The sample consists of 228 respondents who have the
characteristic as a career woman, have an income, and are the managers of
personal financial, with a productive age of 20-55 years, and at least junior high
school as the latest education. Sample was taken using a purposive sampling
technique. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) on
Partial Least Square (PLS). The result of this research showed that both Financial
Knowledge, and Self Efficacy have a positive and significant effect on Financial
Management Behavior. While Lifestyle have a negative and significant effect on
Financial Behavior. Beside that, Self Control mediates on the effect of financial
knowledge on financial management behavior.
