Abstract :
In Indonesia, it is famous for having vast waters, there are several islands in Indonesia. Some of these islands require a means of transportation to support the life of the local community. There are also several islands in Indonesia as a means of transportation. One of the Halang Islands is one of the remote islands in Rokan Hilir Regency. Many small islands are far from the city center and the means of transportation used to cross the Halang Island area. the current condition of the ship crossing in Halang Island Village still uses traditional wooden ships with minimal safety equipment and the condition of the ship that is no longer suitable for use by passengers because the condition of the wooden ship is already starting to break down. To reach the city, you have to travel for 1 hour by sea. To get the main size of the ship, we use the parent design approach, namely by looking for data on passengers who cross the Halang Island area. And get the main size of the ship, L = 19.10 m, B = 5.4 m, H = 2.2 m, T = 1.5 m then the design process of the landing craft boat using maxsurft modeller advance.
