Abstract :
The process of lamination of fishing boats using fiberglass, this lamination can reduce damage to wooden boats, besides that it can also extend the life of the ship. This study discusses technical and economic calculations for lamination of 3gt fishing boats with the aim of knowing investment costs, costs per trip, fishermen's income per year, and knowing the return on investment. In carrying out this research several stages were carried out, namely calculating the cost of building a ship then determining fixed costs and variable costs so that income was known then calculating profitability and payback period The results of the calculation of IRR and NPV obtained economic values as follows, From a comparison of typical inflows with initial investment capital with a discount rate of 6%, an NPV value of IDR 119,568,847 with an index of 0.1% is obtained. The results showed that based on the results of calculations using the IRR method with a discount factor rate of 7%, the ship is feasible to operate with an IRR value of 83.9% with an index of 13.99 (with a catch of 47 kg/trip). Because the current banking interest rate is 6% per year. Based on calculations in the 3rd year the occurrence of a Break Even Point (BEP) with a cash accum value of IDR 79,624,820,237
