Abstract :
This study considers the challenges of delays due to the distance between the batching plant and the project site that can affect the quality of concrete. In this context, the study analyzed the effect of delay time variation of ready mix Concrete using additives Sika Plastocrete RT-6 Plus and Grolen HP 19 R on the value of slump and compressive strength of 25 MPa quality concrete. The method used in this test is to make a concrete mixture using SNI 03-2843-2000 for concrete quality of 25 MPa. This mixture involves the addition of Plastocrete RT-6 Plus by 0.3% and Grolen HP 19 R by 0.4%. The delay time variations applied are 0 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, and 120 minutes. The compressive strength of normal concrete decreased from 25.39 MPa at 0 minutes to 20.14 MPa at 60 minutes. The addition of Sika Plastocrete increased the initial compressive strength to 33.24 MPa, but decreased at longer delay times. The combination of Sika Plastocrete and 0.4% Grolen showed an increase in compressive strength at 60 minutes, but a significant decrease occurred at 120 minutes.
