Abstract :
This final project discusses the working system of an electric chain hoist motor, consisting of components such as phase relays, power transformers, contactors, limit switches, and the lifting motor itself. The main issue addressed is how to ensure that the system operates efficiently and safely. To address this, an analysis of block diagrams, flowcharts, and wiring diagrams was conducted to map the overall system performance. Specification testing was carried out to determine the power required by the motor when lifting loads and when operating without a load. The test results show that the power requirement increases as the load being lifted increases. The study emphasizes, the importance of considering the maximum load when designing and selecting a hoist motor to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
