Abstract :
This study aims to analyze the efforts made by the Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office (KPPBC) Type Madya Customs C Bengkalis Regency in protecting the public from prohibited or part of their role as community protector. Customs Office C Bengkalis Regency in protecting the public from prohibited or restricted goods as part of their role as a community protector. Given the strategic location of Bengkalis Regency as a potential route for smuggling, the supervision carried out by Customs and Excise is very important. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, the results show that KPPBC Bengkalis has made various strategic efforts in the supervision and prosecution of prohibited goods, including improving the quality of human resources and innovation in supervision strategies. However, there are still some obstacles faced,
such as limited human resources, technology, and inadequate facilities and infrastructure.
