Abstract :
Yos Sudarso, Pekanbaru City is a densely populated area, connecting cities, the Trans-Sumatra hinghway and including tourist and industrial areas so that it is prone to congestion because it is passed by large in size so that they narrow the road body. This study aims to analyze the capacity of the road section performance. The method used is the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2023) by collecting data by saturation and traffic so that the road capacity, degree of saturation and traffic forecasts for the next few years can be calculated. The results of the study for one day, namely Thursday, February 22, 2023, showed that the existing condition was at level D, while for the next 5 to 10 years the level of servise has reached E and F. From the results of the study, a solution wos obtained to improve the performance of the road section, namely by changing the road type from 2/2-TT to 4/2 T. With the proposed solution, the level of servise for the section in the next 5 years and 10 years is at levels C and B.
