Abstract :
This study aimed to develop an engaging and interactive English vocabulary calendar for children. Recognizing the importance of English and the challenges faced by children in learning it, this research created a game-based calendar to make learning fun and effective. The calendar features vocabulary from various categories displayed each date. Children interact by matching pictures with words or completing sentences. This approach fosters vocabulary development, improves communication skills, and builds a foundation for future language learning. The research methodology is descriptive research, involved data collection from online resources (YouTube English books) and websites (Pinterest, Canva). Materials like flannel, plywood, cardboard, and color pens were used to create the calendar. The final product was evaluated by three evaluators, suggesting improvements in color scheme, paper quality, and number alignment. The study concludes that this game-based calendar can be a valuable tool for teachers to make English learning engaging and for students to learn vocabulary in a fun and interactive way.
