Abstract :
One technology that can support the construction process is building information modeling (BIM). The aim of this research is to compare and analyze the difference in volume calculations using conventional methods and the BIM method. This research discusses the comparative calculation of the structural volume of a 2-story building starting from the foundation, beams, columns. The method used is to compare the concrete volume between conventional method calculations and the BIM method. The conventional method is carried out by calculating manually using AutoCAD while the BIM method is carried out using Autodesk Revit. BIM method calculations are more accurate and can minimize the occurrence of errors. Based on this research, the volume comparison value between conventional methods and BIM methods for foundation structures is 0%, sloof beam structures are 0%, pedestal column structures are 1%, column structures are 4%. %, and the total volume of concrete and reinforcement is 24%
