Abstract :
This research aims to find problems and obstacles in the process of ship guiding and delaying services in supporting smooth operations at PT Subholding Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM) Dumai. The methods to be used include interviews and documentation analysis. This research was conducted from June to July 2024 and the place of this research was at PT Subholding Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM) Dumai. The results of this study are ship guiding and delaying services to support operational smoothness because there are several obstacles that cause obstacles to guiding the ship, such as the lack of guides and technical damage to the ship in guiding and delaying, the guiding process is not optimal, as well as bad weather that cannot be predicted and alternative solutions to overcome these problems.
