Abstract :
Abstract: In this research, the design of a device that can produce electrical energy independently by utilizing energy from nature, namely the sun and wind is made which will be connected to the PLN network. Solar cells and windmills are used as sources of electrical energy obtained from the sun and wind. The energy produced from solar cells and windmills is optimized by connecting the two sources with a multi-input single-output buck converter that regulates the solar cell and windmill to work at maximum power. For this reason, a control method is needed that is able to regulate the work of solar cells and windmills so that they work at optimal power. In this research, a solar cell and windmill generating system is designed, which has high efficiency with local content of more than 40%. After doing some research, some conclusions can be drawn at the end of writing including the following: first. Solar cells used is a solar cell made of NPN 2N3055 transistors that do not use solar cells on the market. Second, the use of jengkol transistor material as a light absorber is very inefficient because it has a very low current output. Lastly, the battery requirement is a 10.33Ah battery that will use 35Ah. Fourth, charging the battery is done by using 2 power plants simultaneously with the average voltage when the battery is full is 12.5 volts. Fifth, the battery charging on the windmill cannot be maximized due to unstable wind speed
