Abstract :
This final project research aims to find out about the process of requesting ship piloting at PT. Pelindo 1 Pakning river branch, identifying obstacles in the request for ship piloting at PT. Pelindo 1 branch of the Pakning river. The method used in this thesis research is to use the method of observation and interview methods, as well as qualitative data analysis techniques. The place of this research was carried out in the office of PT. Pelindo 1 branch of the Pakning river which was carried out from April to August 2021. The results obtained by the author during the research were the process of requesting ship scouting at PT. Pelindo 1 branchof the Pakning river was successful, this was shown by the number of ships that wanted to be served to guide their departure. The suggestion for this research is to update the IGMT system which often experiences error problems when entering ship data.
