Abstract :
Post-harvest handling of pineapple in terms of peeling the skin at the farmer level is generally still done manually using a knife. So that in order to overcome the weaknesses and shortcomings of manually peeling pineapple peels, a semi-mechanical pineapple peeler is made that is able to peel pineapple peels with a relatively faster peeling time thus increasing work capacity, tidier peeling results, reducing labor and can be used. by anyone. The method used is literature study (literature), field observations and observations about the manual press system pineapple peeler. Then do the design of the shape and manufacture / assembly of the components of the pineapple peeler. The capacity of the pineapple peeler tool with a blade diameter of 8.5 cm is 232.10 pieces / hour. This method of stripping takes approximately 15.51 seconds / fruit. This is very effective and efficient if pineapple is the main ingredient for production.
