Abstract :
Kayu Api street Kuala PenasoVillage is the main road of Talang Muandau Regency. The conditions are very poor if rains, the road will be flooded because of the many holes along the road. Then there was a disagreement between the Ministry and the Public Works Service regarding to chosen type of pavement used.To answer the problem, therefore a good plan to select the effective and efficient type of pavement to be chosen to Kayu Api Street in the Kuala Penaso village. The methods to determine the type of pavement are PD T-14-2003 for rigid pavement and Road Pavement Design Manual (MDPJ) for flexible pavement.Based on the results of the LHR and CBR survey on the existing conditions the result is 10%, so it is identified that the pavement thickness by the Bina Marga 2003/Pd T-14-2003 method is 180 mm with an estimated cost of Rp.23,056,720,000 while the Road Pavement Design Manual/MDPJ 2017 method with a thickness of 220 mm is Rp.21,671,030,000.
