Abstract :
In this thesis the author will develop new technology. This technology is
expected to generate new breakthrough in utilizing renewable energy in
Indonesia. This study aims to produce a navigation lights fishing net using
alternative sea water energy which basically seawater is a mixture of 96.5% pure
water and 3.5% other materials such as salt and dissolved gases. Basically sea
water contains high NaCl compounds and by H2O in decomposition to Na + and
Cl - with the existence of free particles that can generate electrical energy. The
emergence of electric current by the free charge can be used as a source of cheap
electrical energy and environmentally friendly with voltaic method cells. Volta
cells can convert chemical energy arising from the reaction of Na + and Cl - into
electrical energy. This research is conducted by conducting theoretical studies,
conducting experiments and research based on existing theory and implementing
based on the results obtained. At the end of his writer produces prototype
navigation lights fishing nets using alternative energy seawater environmentally
friendly. The average voltage generated from the series circuit using 8 tubes
arranged in series without load is 3.2 V, while the average voltage generated
from the loaded series circuit is 3.0 V with a load of 5 A.
