Abstract :
Automation at the filling depot of refill drinking water is important for the work efficiency
carried out by the operator when filling a gallon of water. For this reason a study was conducted
which aimed to create an automatic control system in the process of filling gallons of refill
drinking water. Gallons used in this study are gallons with a volume of 5 liters. The system made
consists of 2 parts, namely by filling 2 gallons simultaneously and 1 gallon alternately. Solenoid
valve that is controlled by a relay to automatically turn off and charge a gallon using a pump
controlled by PID control. The gallon filling process utilizes the water flow sensor to be used as
feedback on the system, so that the volume of water that has been pumped can be monitored by the
system. After determining the PID constant, the PID constant value for charging simultaneously is
good for this system with a value of Kp = 10; Ki = 4; Kd = 2; and for charging alternately that is
good for this system with a value of Kp = 5; Ki = 4; Kd = 3; with an average error value of 1.3%
for charging simultaneously and for an average error value of 3%.
